The State of Hawaii plans to charge non-resident visitors a $5 per car fee to enter Akaka Falls, Hapuna Beach and Kekaha Kai State Park in Kona. What is your take on this plan?
It's a good idea. Mainland visitors need to pay to use Hawaii's natural resource
It's a bad idea. It will discourage tourism and hurt the economy
It's discriminatory. Both residents and non-residents alike should be charged

DA BOLOHEADS

Jaz Yglesias

Originally from San Francisco California, Jaz Yglesias made the Big Island his home in 1993. In 1995, while a member (drummer) of the Hoku Award winning band Ehukai, Jaz met Nelson Ray Parker (Program Director of KBIG FM at the time) while recording a commercial for an Ehukai concert. Nelson realized Jaz’ quick wit humor and natural gift of gab and immediately offered Jaz a shot on the radio. Well, he’s been on air ever since and has been anchor to many top Morning Show programs such as Kiss Fm’s Morning Zoo, Kapa Fm’s “Da Boloheads”, The Aloha Morning show and KBIG Fm’s Hawaiian Sunset. Jaz also lends his voice to numerous TV Commercials and Sport Programs. A retired Mixed Martial Arts fighter & Japanese Style Pro Wrestler, Jaz still remains active in that circuit as an MMA Coach of Team Shoot Hawaii & Ring Announcer for BJ Penn’s Fight Promotion Company, and recently doing fight choreography and stunts for Hawaii independent films.
